Attendance settings are an essential feature of workforce management systems used by organizations to track and manage their employee attendance. These settings allow organizations to set up and manage various attendance policies, such as work hours, overtime, holidays, and leaves.
When you click on "Attendance settings" option you are directed to a page which looks like the one mentioned below:
The more detailed information about this Attendance settings page are mentioned below with their screenshots:
Weekly off: Using this feature you can define the designated off days of your staff.
Allowed punch time(min): This is a time after which the employees of the organization are allowed to mark their attendance.
Allowed punch time(max): This is the time after which the employees of the organization are not allowed to mark the attendance.
Half-day time: The half-day time defines the half-day of the organization, if anyone punches in after this time then it will be considered as half-day.
By setting this, organizations can accurately monitor and manage attendance for employees working half-day shifts. It ensures that the working hours of these employees are tracked precisely and their attendance is managed effectively.
Late-day time: The late-day time defines the half-day of the organization, if anyone punches in after this time then it will be considered as late-day. This setting enables organizations to monitor and manage employee punctuality.
Late day to half day conversion: This is a feature where the number of late days are counted, and based on that count, those days are converted into half-days. This setting helps organizations manage employee attendance by recognizing and marking days with late arrivals as half-days.
Mark auto-cut time: If an employee does not punch out their attendance, they will automatically be punched out after the auto-cut time. So the organizations can set a auto-cut time after which they want to punch out all the employees who have punched in but not punched out.
Total leaves allowed: The total leaves allowed setting defines the number of leaves an employee is allowed to take within a given period. This setting enables organizations to manage employee leave requests and ensure that work is not affected due to employee absence.
Total half-day allowed: The total half-day allowed setting defines the number of half-days an employee is allowed to take within a given period.
Total-late day allowed: The total late-day allowed setting defines the number of late days an employee is allowed to have within a given period. This setting helps organizations to monitor and manage employee punctuality.
Late day to leave conversion: This is a feature where the number of half days are counted, and based on that count, those days are converted into leaves.
Selecting the "Attendance Auth" option will lead you to the screen depicted in the image below:
This allows you to configure the method of attendance authentication, whether it's through facial recognition, OfficeLinks verification, or other preferred means.
This setting applies to all employees in the organization as a default day off. However, if you need to assign a different day off for a specific employee, you can easily customize it by accessing the page. This allows you to accommodate individual employee needs or specific scheduling arrangements. Also you will get an option to change that default off day when you are creating an employee.
