# Attendance Settings

### Overview

Attendance settings are an essential feature of workforce management systems used by organizations to track and manage their employee attendance. These settings allow organizations to set up and manage various attendance policies, such as work hours, overtime, holidays, and leaves.

When you click on "Attendance settings" option you are directed to a page which looks like the one mentioned below:

**Weekly off:** Using this feature you can define the designated off days of your staff. &#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
This setting applies to all employees in the organization as a default day off. However, if you need to assign a different day off for a specific employee, you can easily customize it by accessing the [user management](https://docs.7sales.7system.in/7salesdocs/user-management/user-management) page. This allows you to accommodate individual employee needs or specific scheduling arrangements. Also you will get an option to change that default off day when you are creating an employee.
{% endhint %}

**Allowed punch time(min):** This is a time after which the employees of the organization are allowed to mark their attendance.&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://2726693779-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FD07wD6urpJqZEpqyPr6N%2Fuploads%2FlRbqxRxDLpysjKxg3BGv%2Fdownload.png?alt=media&#x26;token=6b407289-bc15-4cc9-a7c8-e065350243a8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Allowed punch time(max):** This is the time after which the employees of the organization are not allowed to mark the attendance.&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://2726693779-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FD07wD6urpJqZEpqyPr6N%2Fuploads%2FzOuX5uiAWisQEgEuPBI2%2Fdownload.png?alt=media&#x26;token=e6b80c68-1dd4-47fd-9cfa-1485723ab7f1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Half-day time:** The half-day time defines the half-day of the organization, if anyone punches in after this time then it will be considered as half-day.

By setting this, organizations can accurately monitor and manage attendance for employees working half-day shifts. It ensures that the working hours of these employees are tracked precisely and their attendance is managed effectively.

<figure><img src="https://2726693779-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FD07wD6urpJqZEpqyPr6N%2Fuploads%2FoLgd77lHfauXtiKrQ5QK%2Fdownload.png?alt=media&#x26;token=e69e4187-e0e7-43bd-a667-c5dc2d476b3d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Late day to half day conversion:** This is a feature where the number of late days are counted, and based on that count, those days are converted into half-days. This setting helps organizations manage employee attendance by recognizing and marking days with late arrivals as half-days.&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://2726693779-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FD07wD6urpJqZEpqyPr6N%2Fuploads%2F6J3J77pSPE4GeHEaOiTu%2Fdownload.png?alt=media&#x26;token=ca06b9c8-e4a8-4704-9a35-6209c083a78c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Mark auto-cut time:** If an employee does not punch out their attendance, they will automatically be punched out after the auto-cut time. So the organizations can set a auto-cut time after which they want to punch out all the employees who have punched in but not punched out.

<figure><img src="https://2726693779-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FD07wD6urpJqZEpqyPr6N%2Fuploads%2F2Rp3XbFEJMxt3eZPzVPJ%2Fdownload.png?alt=media&#x26;token=dd0cfd58-07ef-4005-b90e-a1bfc045db1f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
